A Boring day...Zzzz...zz

Well, seems like quite some time ever since I started on this blog.
And mine, mine.. this is the only my 2nd posting...

Sometimes, I wonder if that is cos I am a lazy bum or a busy mum.. It always seems like nowadays, my life is revolving around household chores, taking care of my ger, tuition , surfing the net for good baby stuffs or picking up fights with my hubby...

Gone are the days whereby I have a cuppa at Coffee Bean or Starbucks with my khakis or taking a day leave to cater for shopping trips.. Neither do I have the luxury of going for any overseas trips or even watching a movie with my hubby...To be honest, I do feel very much deprived at times... **Groans** that's the sacrifices that u have to make to enter into the world of Motherhood...

Sounds like quite a miserable existence, isn't it? Guess that's LiFe///

Karissa just had a jab last Friday... It seems that either she hates clinic or the doc.. cos she's always wailing away whenever the doc tries to examine her... Anyway, guess she has to stick with the doc cos we like her... hehe..Now, I am just hoping that there won't be a fever coming along with the jab which the doc has already advised us to anticipate..

So far so good....but really, Karissa can be quite a nusiance in the middle of the night.. She will toss and turn or wake up at least twice, wanting someone to cuddle her and carry her in our arms while cooing her to dreamland.. Not that I am complaining, but sometimes it takes really quite a while and when u are already sleeping soundly and yet have to wake up to settle her down... the feeling really sucks....

Really.. to be a good mum, I absolutely believe that u need loads and loads of patience.... and that is the area I am lacking in....Oops...:-(wonders where I stand as a mum then....

My darling ger has been getting bruises and knocking herself into tables nowadays.. Just a few days ago, she got herself a really prominent " BuahChiKu" right in the middle of her forehead when out of the blue, she just fell to the front while sitting down... Quite an incredible feat!!!! Really wondered how she did it till now..

SoOoOooo, I got her a Pooh Bumper Mat... Bought her one previously and placed it in her bedroom and has decided to place the new one in the living room... Not cheap, ok? .... this Made in Korea bumper mat cost me $119.... Add another $80.... I probably could buy a Coach Swingpack.....Dear darling, if u ever read this blog one day, u probably will realise how much yr dear mum pampers u...

Oh... Karissa just learnt how to say " Apple" today... Not really fantastic pronunciation but sounds like "Apple nonetheless.. She was carrying her small phonics boardbook around today, stopping at times to see the pics and pointing at them..acting like a smart, little professor.. haha.. ok... a
"Hi- 5" for u! My ger....

It's oledi 12 plus... Karissa is making noises now..
Have to go to settle her down//
Tat's all for today then!

My 1st Blog

03 September 2008

Wow, finally I get to creating a blog about my darling ger...Something which I always wanted to do but keeps dragging either cos I am too busy or lazy to start my fingers moving.

But then I figure if I don't do it now, I might regret in the future. Time flies and children grow up fast. Before u know it, you will probably be a greying old nanny, trying hard to recall the past...those special and memorable moments that you want to capture in your heart ....

Haha.. I probably want to make my life easier and God forbids, if I ever get senile, I still have these postings for me to reminicise these golden moment s of a lifetime:)

MY DARLING GER , Karissa is now close to 14months.. Can't really imagine how she has changed from a teeny weepy baby of 2.62kg to the current complacent ,little " tyrant"...Oh well, one thing that has not changed is that she still cries a lot.. especially when she realises how " powerful" that weapon is to getting her way...

Both my hubby and I try to discipline her by ignoring her bawling, hoping to make her realise that crying doesn't help ....

BUT In The EnD, We have to raise our hands and Surrender to her Especially when the volume of her cries are switched to the maximum, raising the eyebrows of curious passers-by in public... From the disciplinarians , we bowed down to becoming her servants, pacifying her with toys and candies while taking turns to coo and rock her until she is gurgling happily in our arms..

So much for discipline.. We are really TRAITORS to our own teachings! :(
tsk.. tsk...tsk...

Talk about today whereby she was messing with my cosmetics pouch on the sofa.. taking out the items one by one and then putting them back again and taking them out again ( Oh, and she really loves exploring with my eyebrow pencil, feeling the tip and putting the cap on and off again..)And when she got tired of them, she simply overturns my bag ,lets the items fall out and flung the pouch away...

Gosh.. wat an incorrigible brat!

I decided to show her my " Power " as a mum then...slapped her gently on her chubby hands and muttered " No".... And guess, wat she did...? She acted innocently, mouthed a " NO" after me, waving her hands, picked up the pouch and flung it aside again!

Really.. the Things that Kids can Do are really %^&^*..

Ultimately, I decided to put a stop to that and snatch the pouch from her.. and the " music" from her started expectedly...

Luckily, this time, it lasted for only a short while.... "Phew"

***** UPDATES *****

Oh yes, Karissa just had her 1st gummi of Vitamin C today and she LovEs it...

Hehe... she automatically tries to walk by herself without us egging her on like the usual times.. Of cos, now and then... we will clap hands and encourage her on her efforts... Gosh.. you should see how that look on her face... haha.. feeling so proud of herself..She ought to though, as this is her very 1st achievement now... Hurray!!!! Thumbs Up! My sweet Darling...
